Dear Margot: Wanting To Be Closer with Cousin
Dear Margot, “I really love my family & I like them all equally but my cousin who I’ve known for years is like my best friend, which doesn’t feel like enough. Should I do anything about this or talk to them about how I feel?” First, I think that it's normal to want to have a closer relationship with your cousin. Having a close-knit or a great connection with your cousin is something that you should be grateful for, and not ashamed or confused about. Keeping a close bond wit

Dear Margot: How do I come out as bisexual?
Dear Margot, “I’m bi and haven’t told anyone yet because I’m scared of what my friends will think. How do I come out?” Dealing with the fear of being open and vulnerable with the people close to you is something extremely difficult to deal with. Opening up to those people and potentially risking the way they view you as a person is something incredibly fearful, but there are a few different ways we can open up to those people and make it a less fearful experience for you. Dodgers Win World Series
The Blue Jays have loaded bases with 2 outs in the bottom second but Shohei Ohtanin strikes out Andres Gimenez swinging on a 99 mph fastball. This was the first time all season Ohtani had faced a hitter with the bases loaded. He had thrown 43 pitches through 2 innings clearly having trouble with his commands. George Springer led off the third against Ohtani with a base hit. After they decided to sacrifice a bunt and wild pitch, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts intentionally decid

Russia and Ukraine History
Russia and Ukraine have had a series of long lasting conflicts. While they have had a variety of problems in the past, in more modern years it has intensified. I broke down the conflict into five different categories: historical background, events that led up to the conflict, geopolitical factors, current conflicts, and impacts & consequences locally and globally. To start off, Russia and Ukraine have a deep historical background with centuries of history together, most of i

Dear Margot: Am I Wasting Time?
Dear Margot, “I stay up late just to text him, but he never does the same for me. Am I the only one who cares this much, or am I just wasting my time losing sleep over him?” I don’t know much about him but what I am getting from this is that you aren’t feeling so reassured. If he is dry with you daily and hasn’t changed then maybe it’s time to talk to him and see why he has been so dry. I don’t want to immediately say that you two should stop texting, but you guys should

Dear Margot: Asking a Friend to Hoco
“Dear Margot, I want to ask my friend out to homecoming but we’re both girls and I'm afraid she’ll be weirded out and reject me. What do I do?” I feel like as long as you keep it in a friendly manner then she shouldn’t be uncomfortable. We all have different feelings about these things and it is hard to go off of what little information I have about her. But if something like that will make her uncomfortable, then you could try hinting at her before asking her out. If she r

Dear Margot: How should I dress?
Dear Margot, “Everyone tells me I dress to masculine and I need to dress more girly, but that's not my style. What do I do?” For a situation like this, I would usually say you should ignore them and go wear whatever you want! But if people are constantly bugging you about this then it isn’t going to be easy to ignore. Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions and they should respect yours.
