Wyoming Fights For Abortion Rights

As of recently, the fight for abortion-rights goes on in many states, such as Wyoming and Missouri’s abortion legalities being thwarted and tried, in order to ban a part of women’s healthcare. Thankfully though, Wyoming has refused to give in to bringing back the pill ban, much to others (MSN). However, the same unfortunately can’t be said for Missouri, with an upcoming two week trial that will last January 12th to January 26th. Despite the voters approving the third amendment to ensure abortion rights are protected by the state’s constitution, it has unfortunately sparked an entire legal battle instead. It is rather upsetting to see that women still have to fight for basic healthcare because of people voting for laws to ban abortion, or others who drag religion into the fray in order to justify why abortion is wrong. Religion has absolutely nothing to do with this fight. It is even more aggravating considering they constantly make the argument that the baby can grow up to find the cure for cancer or some other terminal illness, but don’t even pause to think about the pregnant woman carrying the baby. She could have gone to college and pursued an education to be just as capable of doing that herself; but couldn’t because she had to be reduced to being a mother despite not being stable enough to care for a child. To add even more fuel to the fire, they practically brush off the dangers of childbirth because if the fetus is aborted, it counts as killing. It’s confusing, because if they say that abortion is murder, then wouldn’t the mom dying from or while giving birth to the baby also count as murder?
