On Sunday, February 8, 2026, the most anticipated game of the entire NFL season took place, Super Bowl 60. The game was played in Santa Clara, California between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
After a pregame performance by Green Day and the singing of the national anthem by Charlie Puth, the game kicked off on a sunny afternoon in the Bay Area. The game got off to a very slow start, as the Seahawks scored a field goal in the first quarter and two in the second quarter, making the score 9-0 at halftime. The Patriots could not get any offense going and the Seahawks could not convert when in scoring position and were held to three field goals. The game was very boring up to this point.
Once the second quarter ended, hundreds of people got the set ready for Bad Bunny’s halftime show, where he performed many of his popular songs like “Tití Me Preguntó”, “MONACO” and “DtMF”. He even brought out other singers such as Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga in his historical halftime show. Bad Bunny’s halftime show sent a message to everyone about how it is important to love others and not spread hate.
After a touching performance that garnered over 120 million views, the super bowl continued. Again, the game was very boring in the third quarter, with a lot of punts back and forth and one singular Seahawks field goal to make the score 12-0 going into the fourth quarter. Early in the fourth quarter, a touchdown was finally scored, with a Sam Darnold touchdown pass to AJ Barner to make the score 19-0 Seahawks. The Patriots quickly responded in less than a minute with a 35-yard touchdown catch by Mack Hollins, cutting the lead down, 19-7. After this, the Seahawks would go score a field goal and then intercept Drake Maye and return it to the endzone for a touchdown, extending their lead to 22 points, making it 29-7. After this, the Patriots would go score a touchdown, making the score 29-13, but it was too little, too late.
The Seahawks would win their second Super Bowl in franchise history after a remarkable season from Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and most notably, the entire defense. Kenneth Walker III would end up winning Super Bowl MVP, cementing his name in history, after helping his team tremendously in solidifying their spot in NFL history.
