I took a different approach to this yearbook review, so I asked people in the senior class what their thoughts on this year’s yearbook were, and there was a lot of controversy on it.

The first person I interviewed about this year’s yearbook was Zaniah Simpson and this is what she had to say about it: “The yearbook has a good theme and is well organized but the yearbook has room for improvement. First, I believe that we shouldn't be using AI for our yearbook. The cover of the yearbook is AI-generated. If our school doesn't want us to use generative AI then neither should they. Second, there could have been space made for senior quotes. Seniors should have the opportunity to leave parting words.” I completely agree with where she is coming from with this year’s yearbook, and honestly, I know a lot of people that would have loved to have senior quotes in our yearbook.

The second person I interviewed about the yearbook was Sam Escareno and this is what she had to say about it: “This year's edition of the yearbook has once again, only included one cast on the musical theater page. It’s not fair to the other casts who don’t get any recognition for their hard work, especially the seniors who go above and beyond for their senior show and don’t have any proof of it in the yearbook. Yes, it is a little hard because there’s two or even three casts sometimes, but just try a little harder to get at least some pictures of all casts. Overall the yearbook is good.”

The last person I interviewed about the yearbook was Radiyat Olatunji, and this is what she had to say about it: “The yearbook is well organized and a lot of the pictures that were taken off guard really captured the joy that students felt. There were so many great memories that were captured that I feel a lot of students would be happy to have forever. The senior baby pictures were so cute to look at, and you can see the development everyone went through as they got older.”
