Student Spotlight: Nayeli Gatica

One of Mayfair’s most actively involved students is 2026 senior Nayeli Gatica. Nayeli is involved in ASB, girls volleyball, beach volleyball, AVP club, and pickleball club. Nayeli is on the varsity girl’s volleyball team as an outside hitter and setter. Nayeli  helps out by promoting school spirit by putting together school events such as assemblies and making posters for school. 

Q: How long have you been at Mayfair? 

A: “I’ve been at Mayfair for 6 years”

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

A: “I like to draw and watch movies in my spare time.”

Q: What sports/activities/clubs are you involved in at Mayfair? 

A:  “I am involved in ASB, Link Crew, girls volleyball, beach volleyball, AVP club, and Pickleball club.”

Q: What do you love about Mayfair? 

A: “I love my friends at Mayfair.”

Q: What's your favorite class that you're taking this year?

A: “My favorite class that I'm taking this year is forensics.”

Q: Who is someone that has inspired you throughout your time at Mayfair?

A: “Someone who’s inspired me throughout my time at Mayfair is my mom.”

Nayeli has been a chronically involved student here at Mayfair helping to provide school spirit and making Mayfair the amazing and inclusive school that it is. If you ever see Nayeli around campus this year, don't ever be scared to say “Hello!” to her. Mayfair is truly lucky to have had such a kind, positive, optimistic and reliable person on campus like Nayeli.
