On Sept. 28, 2026, Slipknot shocked the Nu-Metal scene by announcing a worldwide stadium tour. With stops at stadiums like SoFi Stadium, Fenway Park, Citi Field, Soldier Field, and the historic Wembley Stadium in the UK, the tour will feature a permanent opener, Bring Me The Horizon, and multiple other openers that will change depending on the venue. For example, the UK tour will feature openers like Marilyn Manson, Lorna Shore, and Hatebreed. North American stops will feature artists such as Acid Bath, Vended, Kublai Khan TX, Lamb of God, Polyphia, Loathe, and Motionless In White.

Many fans are excited about the announcement of the stadium tour, except for one of the opening slots in the UK: Marilyn Manson. Fans feel like Slipknot could have chosen a better option instead of an artist who has been in countless controversies since 1999. NME reports fans saying, “Would've loved to see this but there's literally nothing you could do to get my cash in Manson's pockets.” When Jim Root, guitarist of Slipknot, was asked about this on Instagram, he said, "I stay out of the logistics of touring and all that. I concentrate on writing and being a guitarist, so forgive my ignorance about who we do shows with. There are other people with much bigger brains than I that coordinate all that, and I honestly don't keep up with new bands or new music."

Other than that dilemma, the majority of Slipknot fans are fired up for the stadium tour and for the different types of openers in every city, especially with the band Vended. It's exciting for the band to be an opener for Slipknot for a 3rd time because the lead singer is Slipknot lead vocalist Corey Taylor’s son, Griffin Taylor, who is also a vocalist, and Slipknot percussionist Shawn Crahan’s son, Simon Crahan, who is the drummer.
