On November 15, 2025 a loud crowd of young protesters and a fair group of older generations in México city, México paraded through the streets holding signs that spoke about the many things wrong with their government while some waved flags that had significant meaning. People came from different cities to help with the protest, showing up in a cowboy hat in memory of a mayor that was assassinated or coming from the opposite party. The protest was for many things but the main idea was to show that protesters were outraged by the wrongdoings that the president was doing. After so long people were fed up by the corrupted government and decided to take a turn for themselves.
There was talk of protesters going to break into the National Palace but the police had beat protesters there. Barricades lined from the entrance to the sides of the building, shielding a corrupt president with large metal walls. Protesters tore down most of the barricades and injured 100 police officers, 20 people were arrested, and many protesters were hurt. They yelled and screamed while tear gas filled the area, rocks flew through the sky and soon protesters would fight back. Flags and signs stayed in the air despite the violence, they wanted to be heard and that was the only way they would be taken seriously. A week prior to the protest a mayor named Carlos Manzo was assassinated for his ideas that were against the corrupt government. He would stand up against the cartel, thinking of laws that clashed against the president's unreal laws.
Another protest set up by Gen Z has gone successfully, it seems that lots of the older generation are too scared to do anything that seems out of the ordinary. But going against a president's idea whilst living in a place that has a high assasination/murder rate is pretty risky.
