Mylen Bradford's Acting Career

At only 17 years of age, Mylen Bradford is already making a name out for himself in the world of celebrities, especially actors. He is currently a senior at Mayfair High School, in Lakewood, California. Still being a student, he has to make sure that he is working hard both with textbooks and acting scripts. Mylen Bradford isn’t just dreaming for a big future, he is starting to create one.  

“My name is Mylen Bradford and I am an actor,” says Mylen. The humble self confidence that he brings is a key thing that makes him very appealing to his peers. Many teenagers at his age are still at the stage where they are finding out what they want to be in the future, but Mylen has already set his goal up to becoming a big-time actor.  He says “I was very young, but around seven-years-old is when I first felt it. I started to take acting seriously.” To him taking acting more seriously it led him to one of his first major roles, in the film 1-800-Hot-Nite, where he said he felt very proud of himself.

Similar to multiple young actors, Mylen Bradford found his interest and inspiration from a very popular actor who goes by Will Smith.  Mylen says, “Will Smith made me want to start acting for real, because of his acting skills and the persona he plays on TV.” Although actors inspire him, it is truly his parents who keep him motivated.  “My parents are really my biggest role models,” Mylen says, adding that his parents and their support will always be there. “They love what I do. Especially when we get the opportunity to travel for premieres and commercials.”

Mylen truly is one of a few most talented individuals here at Mayfair High School.  During his time in high school, he has been featured in The Vince Staples Show which is on Netflix, made an appearance in Abbott Elementary, and was in multiple Nike Commercials. This may seem like small gigs, but in reality it is an indicator that shows he has a bright future ahead of him.  

Between acting and school, he has to be able to balance it out. It may sound difficult but Mylen is able to handle it.  He mentions, “It’s pretty easy because when on set they give us time to do our school work… I went to France for my movie premiere and I was supposed to bring my homework, but I forgot.”  Mistakes happen and that alright, it just shows that he is still a teen and he has the same responsibilities as everyone else but is at the same time focusing on his career.

When people see young actors, they think about money and fame. Mylen, though, stands out not because of his talent, but because of his humbleness, authentic self, and his gratitude.  With his parents always by his side, and the passion he holds for himself. Mylen Bradford isn’t only going to be the next big thing, he already is towards it.
