Joining us throughout the years, we have been lucky to receive a number of new staff members. From teachers to aides, one of those wonderful people is our new attendance clerk, Mrs. Cebula whom you can find in the attendance office. The inviting Mrs. Cebula tackles being a mother, housewife, and now our attendance clerk. She claimed to have moved into this job in an effort to be closer to her daughter. By working as a teacher's aide for a time, she made her way to Mayfair from her old job. When asked about how she felt about Mayfair so far within the few weeks she had first started, she chuckled a bit that she had been a bit intimidated with how her work and the kids might be. However, she then said how she was surprised to see that her interactions with everyone have been fairly pleasant. Of course, kindness is definitely something that the students of Mayfair are expected to possess and use. Thinking about the amount of work that attendance clerk’s might have on their plate all at once can be stressful. Most of the time, the job can involve a decent amount of socializing, ranging from calls to in-person conversations with both parents and students. Mrs. Cebula says that it’s important for an attendance clerk to make sure to approach students with patience and parents peacefully. Considering her mention that multitasking is something of a key aspect of being an attendance clerk, it is easy to understand why the job can be a bit on the stressful side with the physical and social work involved. However, our newest hard working member proves to be quite an understanding and determined worker that only adds that much more spirit to our school. Thank you for your work and dedication, Mrs. Cebula!
