Mayfair High School’s 2026 homecoming game against Cerritos High School was definitely a night to remember. Students, friends, and families came together to support our Monsoons and enjoy one of the most exciting events of the school year. The stands were filled with students cheering for our team; it was a great night for everyone who went. Homecoming is one of the biggest events of the school year, and many students look forward to it. Throughout the week, students got to celebrate their friends and school spirit with various dress-up days inspired by the dance's theme, Viva Las Vegas. The excitement of homecoming made the game feel more special than any regular Friday.

The game took place on Friday, October 9, 2026, and the Monsoons played against the Cerritos Dons. Both teams put up a good fight and kept the game close. The final score was 33–31, with Cerritos winning by only two points. Although Mayfair didn’t get the win, the players worked hard and gave everyone something to cheer about. The close score made the game even more exciting to watch. Besides the football game, homecoming was a great time for students to make great memories with their friends. With everyone coming together to celebrate the night, it made it feel special.

The homecoming court was another exciting part. Everyone was excited to see which of our seniors would be crowned queen. Our homecoming queen this year was Tori Fortuna, who is very involved in our school, participating in things like Showtime, theater, and school announcements. School events like these are important to bring everyone together and give them something to look forward to during the school year. Whether you watched the game cheering with friends or family or were just enjoying the homecoming excitement, it was definitely a night worthwhile.
