Los Angeles Lakers Lebron James has become the first player in NBA history to pass the 40,000 point milestone. He achieved this feat on March 2nd, 2024, in a home game versus the Denver Nuggets.
The layup that resulted in James breaking the 40,000 point mark occurred early in the second quarter against the Denver Nuggets. The crowd roared over this accomplishment; James later received a standing ovation during the next timeout taken. They then showed a video to congratulate LeBron for this accomplishment.
LeBron James made history during the last NBA season by breaking the all-time NBA scoring record, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at 38,387 points. He broke the record almost exactly a year ago on February 7, 2023. Since then, just about 11 months have passed and he has scored over 1600 points and is still going.
As for LeBron James and his status, he plans to play for a bit longer as he previously stated he wants to play with his son Bronny James in the NBA. He has been in the NBA for 21 years and still has a few more years to go if he wants to play with his son.
All in all, LeBron James has had a very successful career with many records and accomplishments. Some people put him in the debate for being the Greatest of All Time, but for now, many are focused on congratulating him for his unprecedented accomplishment and success.
