On Saturday, September 27, 2025, I got lucky enough to see Laufey at her “A Matter of Time Tour” on Los Angeles Night 2 at Crypto.com Arena, which became an additional date and a sold-out date.

In case you don’t know who Laufey is, Laufey Lín Bing Jónsdóttir is an Icelandic singer and songwriter who became famous around mid-2020. Her songs you might have heard from social media are “From the Start,” “Let You Break My Heart Again,” and “Promise.”

When I first arrived outside of the arena, there were a lot of people waiting in line to enter the arena. I went in line for the merchandise truck outside of the arena. I thought the line would be shorter, but it turns out there was another line ahead with a curve, and at the time there were people still waiting to enter the arena. It took an estimated1 hour of waiting in line for the Merchandise Truck. In the end, I bought myself a T-shirt and a big poster that I carried with me for the rest of the concert.

After that, I entered the arena, and I went upstairs to my seats that were located at the 300 level. Although I had an obstructed view. It would still be a great experience for me to enjoy the concert.

There was an opening act that arrived at 7:30pm, which was when the show was going to start. The artist was Suki Waterhouse. She came out with a dramatic and shocking intro in the arena. She played these songs according to this setlist. Some songs that I was looking forward to her playing are Johanna, Moves, and Good Looking. Suki was such a stunning act Laufey has to offer.

Suki’s set ended at 8:10pm. In the meantime, people in the arena were waiting in line for merch, food, and photobooths. Laufey played some songs by Clairo, Addison Rae, Phoebe Bridgers, and Mitski blasting in the arena while we waited for her to come out on stage.

Laufey came out on stage around 8:50pm, which marks the point of the beginning of the concert with a dramatic and orchestral intro. Laufey wore a long, pretty green dress, starting off by singing "Clockwork" from her "A Matter of Time" album. Then, onto her setlist.

As the concert went on, Laufey surprised us with a surprise guest. That surprise guest perhaps was KATSEYE, an LA global girl group from HYBE and Geffen Records known for their songs “Touch,” “Gnarly,” and “Gameboy.” I was screaming my lungs out and tearing up with joy when KATSEYE came out on stage. KATSEYE is one of my favorite artists I listen to. Laufey and KATSEYE together performed Gabriela. It was an unbelievable and beautiful performance that I got to experience.

In conclusion, I enjoyed the concert. Laufey did a spectacular job with her performances of all songs with all of her dazzling costumes, jazz performances, and her orchestra performing all of the instrumentals of the songs. It has become my favorite concert from all of the concerts I've attended. If you like inspired jazz, classical music, and indie pop, then Laufey is the artist for you.
