Joe Biden's Cancer Diagnosis

About a week ago, former president Joe Biden was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. Currently, it’s in stage 4, the highest stage classification of cancer. By the time it was identified, it had already reached his bones; therefore, there’s no way to cure it entirely. However, it is possible to lessen its effects with the right medication. On top of that, according to NPR, he’ll probably live for another 5 or even 10 years before succumbing to the cancer.
The whole situation has led to many questions. How did Joe Biden not know about the cancer sooner? He had the best medical coverage as president, how could this have slipped by? Did this have any affect on his presidency? Did he know and not tell the public?
While there has been talk about how his condition may have been a cover-up, it’s all speculation as of this moment. Plus, Biden’s last screening was about 10 years ago, so it wouldn’t be possible for him to just not know. Medical checkups for prostate cancer are suggested for men between the ages of 55 to 69, and Biden was 78 years old when he first became president. The reason he wouldn’t be testing much after that is due to the risks of stuff forming in response to the method used to check for cancer. He did have some issues going on before, but nothing along the lines of cancer, so again it’s completely plausible nobody knew until recently. Chances are it had no effect on his job as president.
