Heat Advisory

As of this week, there are numerous reminders of heat advisories with even emails doing the same. These emails prompt us to “stay cool” or “stay hydrated” to help ensure people of these safeties. Another suggestion is to just stay indoors to avoid passing out or having a heat stroke. This week, with the days passing by during this hot season, the temperatures have gotten higher. As much as going from 70 in the morning to the early 90s in the late afternoon.
All the heat of this week, as well, makes it difficult for sports to practice outside during the last hour of school. Then after that, it gets a bit cooler with a breeze after school hours, but it is still exhausting to have scrimmages and such. So it is recommended to take short breaks to rest, cool down, and take a drink of water.
So far, this has been supposedly the hottest year in such a long time. Temperatures have been very severe and heat warnings have become more of a daily base danger. Not only is daylight weather intense but so has overnight temperatures been just as bad. With this energy draining warmth, people have been running their air conditioners 24/7. Which then can lead to power outages, making this weather even more frustrating. Sometimes even consuming cold drinks or food, A/C on full blast, or just staying indoors may not seem like enough of a cool down.
Which is why everyone should always take precautions during this sunny and bright season. It is always best to just stay indoors, unless to go outside when absolutely necessary. Then of course, stay cool and be safe!
