Gypsy Rose’s Ex-Fiancé Ken Urker Found Dead on His Birthday
On Oct. 1, 2026, 34-year-old Ken Urker was found dead inside a Louisiana house. He was the former fiancé of Gypsy Rose Blanchard; the couple shared a daughter, who was born in December 2024.
According to People.com, “a source close to the family confirmed to PEOPLE. He was found ‘dead upon arrival,’ per the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.” Urker was discovered by Blanchard’s brother, Dylan. An autopsy has since been conducted, but the official results are currently being kept private.
Because of Blanchard’s controversial past, online speculation quickly emerged regarding her potential involvement. However, authorities have stated that there is no immediate evidence of foul play. The couple had an on-and-off relationship and had separated roughly a month before his death. A Page Six report underlined that “Blanchard, 35, avoided any flirting via text because she knew that Urker was struggling with his mental health, and while she wanted to get back with him, she also knew to give him space to heal.” Despite their separation, the two spoke frequently via text to coordinate parenting.
Blanchard exclusively told People that “she believes he overdosed. ‘I don’t know if it was intentional or not.’” Her suspicion aligns with details from a police report revealed by Page Six: “Deputies walked in the direction of the room and located paraphernalia (syringes and spoon) in the bathroom next to a brown powdery substance,” the report highlighted. “Deputies located a syringe and a handgun on the nightstand next to the bed.¨ Since his death, Blanchard has requested that the loss of her ex-lover be private. Rest in peace, Ken Urker.
