Mayfair’s Spooky Story Contest
Boo! The Writing Center is hosting the 2nd Annual Spooky Story contest! This is a challenge where Mayfair students from middle and high school are able to show off their creative writing skills through a spooky story! Students have until October 23rd to submit their work.
For those interested in signing up, each participant must follow the rules: Participants must attend Mayfair Middle/High School, write 500 to 1200 words, organize their work in MLA format, avoid using AI, and turn in their original work. Spooky stories must be school-appropriate and must not include any explicit content or information. Participants who break the rules are subject to disqualification alongside other punishments.
Students can sign up by scanning the QR code on the posters around campus and filling out the Google Form. The student with the best spooky story will be rewarded with a $25 dollar gift card and their story being published in The Quill. If students have any questions, comments, or concerns, please visit the Writing Center in Room 804 during 2nd or 3rd period.
Good luck to everyone who plans on submitting their stories. We wish you the best of luck and hope to see your imagination rise from the grave!
