Fantasy Football: Things to Know

After week one of the NFL season Fantasy football has had many upsets among players. Here we will talk about the players you need to pick up, drop, bench and start:

Pickups

  • Puka Nacua WR: After an impressive week one performance and with the injury of Cooper Kupp I would tell you to pick him up while you can. With 10 catches for 119 yards on 15 targets Puka Nacua will rack up points.

  • Tyler Allgier RB: After a thrilling two-touchdown game for Tyler Allgeie Ii recommend picking him up for a flex at least. Even as Bijan Robinson has a big role for the Falcons, Tyler will rack up points in the endzone.

  • Justice Hill RB: After J.K Dobbins was performing well for the Ravens he went down with an achilles injury ending his game and maybe his season. Justice Hall would then go in and share runs with Gus Edwards. I would rather pick up Justice Hill as it seems the Ravens like to use him as a goal-line running back picking up points in touchdowns.

Starts

  • Jahmyr Gibbs RB: Even with a disappointing performance with the Lions week one, Gibbs will bounce back as he showed signs of explosiveness and talent. With an upcoming match against Seattle I expect Jahmyr to get a lot more touches than he did week one.

  • DK Metcalf WR: Even as I do love the Lions, they have allowed the 2nd most points to wide-receivers week one. Due to this stat I would start Dk Metcalf. Geno Smith loves to throw to him and when he gets the ball he can rack up some extra yards.

Drop

  • Micheal Gallup: Even as Gallup may seem like he has potential as a player, he was only targeted twice in week one. With this in mind it is obvious that he probably won't be targeted for most of this season leading to lack of fantasy points. If Gallup is on your roster, I would drop him.

  • Aaron Rodgers: After tearing his Achilles, personally I would drop him as he will be putting up no points for the rest of the season.

Bench

  • Dak Prescott QB: With an upcoming match against the Jets I would advise you not to Start prescott. With a really good pass defense coming up Prescott will probably not perform.

  • Dalvin Cook RB: With an upcoming match against the Cowboys and a mediocre performance against the Bills, personally I wouldn't start him. The Cowboys defense is elite and will probably hold Cook to a couple yards.
