The Mando and the Green Child Strikes Again

Updated: Jan 26

On January 16, Star Wars fans were thrilled after Disney released the official trailer for The Mandalorian season 3 which is set to release March 1, 2023. The trailer of this show featured many new faces, rising questions, and exciting adventures in store for The Mandalorian and his ‘kid’ Grogu.

Seeing the release of the new trailer for Mandalorian season 3 was really exciting news to me because I’ve been a fan of the Mandalorian ever since it came out in 2019. In the opening of the trailer we see 7 Mandalorians including Bo-Katan meeting up with probably 3 more Mandalorians shown in the next few clips of the trailer. And mostly all of them have different colored armor, and some have symbols on their armored shoulders. If you have watched the previous seasons of The Mandalorian, there are tiny details and Easter eggs that are shown in the trailer possibly hinting what Mando is trying to accomplish. Following that, we see that Nevarro has greatly improved in the trailer compared to season 2. It has more buildings, and it is not as much of a bounty hunter location like before. But the major detail was seeing 4 Jedi wielding their lightsabers at an unseen enemy who is breaking down a door, possibly also wielding a lightsaber. This scene caused many big questions to rise, and many are related to Order 66. A big detail also was Mando having to go to Mandalore to repent for his transgressions.

Overall there are many details, and Easter eggs shown in this amazing trailer of “The Mandalorian.” However if you haven’t watched the previous seasons of this spectacular show, I highly recommend it in order to understand the new season. Because yes, it will become confusing! If I had to rate this trailer out of 1-10 I would rate it a 9, because of how many details were being portrayed, and how it left many people theorizing and assuming who that mysterious foe was breaking down the door. I can’t wait for this season of Mandalorian to be released on Disney+.
