As we all know, we are halfway through the school year, and we, the Senior Class of 2026, have a lot of things ahead to look forward to. But first, we must not get Senioritis! I get it, you may be so over school, and it's like, “we are already near the end, so why keep showing up?” Well, it is important that we finish strong, completely commit to these last months, and fully lock in.

One event I know a lot of Seniors have been anticipating is definitely Prom! I am very excited for the theme to be revealed. Prom is on May 2nd, which I know seems far, but it’ll go by in a blip! Enjoy a night of being able to dress up, show off your dresses, suits, and new whip. As well as being able to dance freely, and hopefully the DJ is as good as the vibe.

Additionally, Senior Grad Night! Permission slips for Senior Grad Nite are available right now in Room 501 and will be on sale starting February 6th, and is set to happen on May 29th. I know this is something a lot of us are looking forward to. Hanging out with our peers and friends at Disneyland. Getting the place rented out for the night, going on epic rides, hanging out, and taking memorable pictures. Definitely gonna be worth going to.

The Farewell Assembly comes shortly after Grad Nite, where we as Seniors come together to celebrate our achievements and revel in one more assembly before our Graduation. I think it'll be a pretty emotional ceremony, but hopefully all Seniors will be able to remember all their great memories and experiences with their friends here at Mayfair.

Guys, we also have Catalina! We get to go to Catalina Island, and I know many of us seniors are ecstatic to be able to spend a few hours on the island; bringing our cameras, taking cute pictures, and even maybe renting some stuff out while there. Anyway, is this something I am definitely excited about because I wanna dress cute, try new food and take good pictures.

Lastly: Graduation. Seniors, we graduate June 3rd, which is a Wednesday. Then we can finally say that we made it. Our time to shine will come, and we will be able to go on with our lives, enter college, or start our careers. We’ve been in the “real world” since Kindergarten, but on this particular day, we can proudly say that we showed up and we made it.
