USC baseball had very high expectations after they finished last season with a 37-23 overall record and a conference record on 18-12 with key wins against number #14 UCLA and #22 TCU. Then after making a playoff to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2015 they beat TCU in regionals before getting eliminated by Oregon State in the regional final. Even though they had very promising feats and a solid record, fans didn’t expect for them to do that much better the next
