Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Gaspar
This year we welcome a new teacher to Mayfair, Mr. Gaspar. He will be a new math teacher for middle school. Mr. Gaspar came to Mayfair to guide his students to a year of success and he aspires to help his students reach big goals this school year. Today, I went and interviewed him to see more about him and his thoughts about Mayfair.
Q: What do you teach?
A: “ I teach math.”
Q: How has the start of the year been for you?
A: “Great, Ive had great kids so far. 7th graders are so fun to teach, I love them.”
Q: What do you hope to achieve this year?
A: “To hopefully do well during the state exam. Go above average, not well above average. I want the best for these kids.”
Q: What do you enjoy most about what you teach?
A: “When the kids get the answers right and say “Oh I got it Mr. Gaspar.”, its enjoyable”
Q: Do you have any hobbies or talents?
A: “Yes, I like to swim, travel, and being a part of special events.”
Q: What did you do before teaching?
A: “Before teaching? I went to school, I went to college.”
Q: How was your summer spent this year?
A: “My summer was great! I spent most of it in Mexico.”

I’m sure your students will exceed your class with total excellency and perform great on their state tests this year.
