Top Artists of September

As the month of September comes to an end, what artists have been setting the vibe this month? Top Artists for September 2026 goes to: Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Olivia Rodrigo. Bruno Mars is in the lead with 132.1 million monthly listeners, runner up is Taylor Swift with 101 million, and lastly Olivia Rodrigo with 67.5 million monthly listeners. These artists fall under the pop music category along with their own distinct styles. 

Peter Gene Hernandez, otherwise known as Bruno Mars, is a 40-year-old Puerto Rican, Ashkenazi Jewish, and Filipino artist. Born on October 8, 1985, in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America, he has sold over 150 million records worldwide, achieved 10 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and spent the most weeks at number one on the Billboard Global 200 chart. He started his musical jounrey at the young age of three by performing songs by Elvis Presley. This path led to the Bruno Mars we know and love today, who has reached top spots such as number one on the US Billboard 200 and Canada Billboard, number two in and top 3 in the UK.

Next up is Taylor Alison Swift, born December 13, 1989. The American singer-songwriter has achieved milestones such as: being the first person to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year four times, the first artist in history to take up all top 10 spots on the Billboard Hot 100, and having the highest-grossing concert tour history. Starting her career at the age of 14 singing country music, leading up to her pop and alt/indie pop music.

Last but not least, Olivia Rodrigo! Born February 20, 2003, the young Filipino-American artist and actress won three Grammy Awards and broken Billboard records with her albums Sour, Guts, and You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love. After starring in projects like An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, she began to focus on her path toward musical greatness. To this day, she remains incredibly well-known among the younger generation with her relatable, detailed songs that capture the feelings of growing up and the experiences that come with it.
