As of March 21st 2026, marks the very day Tsuki the seal from Tokkari Center was born, and is turning a year old today! Tsuki was born from Yo-chan and her father Katsunori, both being well known seals within the seal community — or at least anyone who’s a huge fan of seals. Tokkari Center is the only place in Japan where weak or injured seals are held inside to rehabilitate or permanently foster them if they aren’t capable of being released. They also teach the seals some tricks to gain more traction from outsider views. Most popular ones being “gyu” (where the seal will ‘shrink’ into themselves) and “bye-bye” (where the seal waves their flipper, gesturing ‘goodbye’). Tsuki the seal has grabbed the attention of many all over the internet in the seal community, as her parents Katsunori and Yo-chan have previously had a pup named Hikaru, who unfortunately passed away years before Tsuki was born. Alongside the fact that they’re just a popular pair in general, with pinniped fans constantly labeling them as a married couple with their dynamic of Yo’s sassy attitude and Katsunori trying to calm her down and with those two having many images of them on the internet giving each other a kiss. Many enjoy labeling Tsuki as a parallel of Yo-chan due to her inheriting Yo’s sassy attitude, and is most frequently recognized for being extremely vocal in the background of Tokkari center’s videos on Instagram or during feeding videos on Youtube. She also is similar to her with her having beef with another seal named Mashiro for unknown reasons, like how Yo used to have beef with Ponsuke. Happy belated birthday to Tsuki! May this gal get all the fish she wants!
