Girls Soccer on the Road to C.I.F!

Congratulations to Mayfair's girls varsity soccer team for making it to the first round of the C.I.F tournament! Girls soccer has had an amazing season with a ratio of 15 wins, 5 losses and 2 ties. The varsity team is being led by head coaches Arroyo and Ortega. The captains of the team consist of seniors, Zoey Pettit, Lizbeth Gutierrez, Kendyl Gutierrez and sophomore, Faith Stewart.

The varsity team consists of freshman Kaylee Escobar, Aimee Santamaria, Emma Garcia, Jennalee Garcia, Avah Gaytan, Sara Malagon, Samantha Lopez and Ariana Castro. Sophomores of the team are Arianna Jimeno, Valerie Silva, Sofia Gonzalez, Surrey Nesper, Faith Stewart, Brielle Anderson, Callan Nesper and Rylee Aihara. The seniors of the team are Natalia Romero, Lizbeth Gutierrez, Kendyl Gutierrez and Zoey Pettit. 

On February 12, 2026  at 5:00 our very own Monsoons took on Little Rock High School at Ron Yary Stadium with a score of 2-1 in an overtime. The varsity team moved on to the next round of C.I.F and took care of Thacher High School with a win of 2-1 on February 14, 2026. The player of that match was captain defender, Faith Stewart.

On February 17, 2026, the girls will be going against Grace Brethren High School in Simi Valley for their third match for the C.I.F tournament. Good luck Girls!
