Disney + Review: Wanda Vision

Updated: Apr 22

The show “Wanda Vision,” first aired on January 15, 2021 and ended on March 5, 2021. It has a total of 9 episodes that pull you into the next one after another. Wanda and Vision are characters that were first introduced in the movie “Iron Man Age of Ultron”, and continued to be in the Avengers films; “Infinity War” and “EndGame.”

For someone who has never watched those movies Vision has an infinity stone to keep him alive, well he is the stone. Vision’s stone was taken forcefully by Thanos in Infinity War, which unfortunately killed him. Wanda's powers were created in a lab with the same stone by scientists with her twin brother Pietro.

The first episode might seem confusing but if you keep watching, the suspense and mystery continues. It kind of throws you off at first because Vision's well and alive. Wanda and Vision walk in their new house after getting married and are living their suburban lives. But it's all a disguise from all the other town folks because they don't know who they are. Vision is working a desk job, while Wanda stays home and makes friends with the women on her block.

Each episode gradually changes the era from 60’s, to 70’s, to 80’s themes and so on. There are small hints placed in each episode that something isn't right and everything is too organized, and Vision starts to notice some of them as it goes on. While Wanda has no idea what she is capable of doing or is putting people in at a high risk of danger.
